Her Name Was Freedom.

I created this piece while thinking about how women’s bodies, hair, appearance, and even presence have been controlled and judged for centuries.

The white fabric carries the image of purity and perfection that women are constantly expected to embody. The red interrupts that surface, not as decoration, but as emotion becoming visible.

Pressure. Memory. Anger. Resistance.

The braid became one of the most important parts of this piece for me.

Hair has always carried meaning far beyond beauty, identity, femininity, culture, control, and sometimes even protest.

The silhouette was shaped around the map of Iran, turning the body itself into a landscape carrying history, tension, and memory.

This look is deeply connected to the idea of Woman, Life, Freedom, not as a slogan, but as a lived experience carried by generations of women.
